PlatinumGames' outstandingly quirky and dynamic PS3/Xbox 360 brawler is looking good to go and absolutely spectacular. I'm still not 100% sold on the multiplayer-only aspect of the game, but if anyone can make me reconsider my stubborn ways, it's this team and this particular fighter. Go Sega!

TGS 2011: Anarchy Reigns Trailer
PlatinumGames' outstandingly quirky and dynamic PS3/Xbox 360 brawler is looking good to go and absolutely spectacular. I'm still not 100% sold on the multiplayer-only aspect of the game, but if anyone can make me reconsider my stubborn ways, it's this team and this particular fighter. Go Sega!

Anarchy Reigns Character Profile: Leo is Back!
Platinum Games' online enabled brawler is Sega's second chance and getting it right in terms of publishing a decent multiplayer beat-down (the first was the woeful Iron Phoenix), but it looks as if Platinum is going for the gold here. I'd say that Leo is one more AR character you'd not want to come across in a dark alley, broad daylight or any other situation unless you were being very well protected.

Anarchy Reigns Character Profile: Jack
Another day, another shot of PlatnumGames spectacular-looking multiplayer online fighter. Every new image and trailer I see gets me all the more thrilled. I STILL want my single-player mode, though... (he typed, fingers crossed). New screens going up this weekend once I have a bit more time (he said, trying to finish a few reviews with fingers crossed)...

Anarchy Reigns Character Profile: Big Bull
He's big, bad and can beat down tall buildings in a single bound. Probably not, but I wouldn't want to try and stop him, that's for sure... Here's the third character profile video for PlatinumGames' upcoming online brawler. While I'm loving all these movies and I think the game looks amazing... I really STILL want a single-player offline mode (whine, complain, nag, nag nag...). Anyone one else think a fighting game like this could use one?

Anarchy Reigns Character Profiles: Zero & Sasha
POW! PlatinumGames is pretty much making an instant smash with their upcoming online multiplayer fighter for Sega and these two character profiles show off the highly stylized brawlers and a lot of gorgeous animation in a few brief seconds of in-progress gameplay. I still very much want an offline single player story mode, but we'll see what happens as the game progresses. If there's a company that follows its own drummer, it's Platinum, so I'm not holding out hope for a solo mode...

Anarchy Reigns: PlatinumGames' Multiplayer Brawler Takes The Fight Online
PlatinumGames' newest Sega title set for a Fall 2011 release, is going to be a multiplayer-focused brawler that (based on this too short and non-gameplay packed teaser), looks as if it's going to have some wild characters and at least one double-bladed chainsaw (ouch). As long as it's not another Iron Phoenix (and let's hope we see some sort of offline play, puh-lease!), I'm sold.
Three screens and basic game info below the jump, more news on AR as it comes out...

Sega Rolls Out Vanquish Demo for PS3, Xbox 360

Sega has finally unleashed the incredible Vanquish demo onto PSN and Xbox LIVE to-day, so you know what you need to do, right? If you're a supported of the retail rinse cycle, GameStop is offering up a nifty pre-order bonus in the form of an exclusive Tri-Weapons Pack, so you also know what needs to be done there as well (right?). Hell, based on the screen shots alone, methinks Sega and Platinum Games will go platinum on this one, folks...

Gallery: Vanquish

Sega and PlatinumGames are going to turn your living room into a futuristic battlefield with Vanquish, set to explode onto the PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 19. This third-person sci-fi shooter mixes highly dynamic, lightning-paced combat with cover-based shooting mechanics. Here's a look at a bunch of amazing screens (love those powerslides the main character can pull off!):
