"What, no B-A-G?" That's probably what Julie Cheng was thinking when she got the very first retail copy of Scribblenauts... or what you're probably thinking Julie Cheng was thinking if you look at that photo long enough. Yup, these press photo ops are so darn obvious, it's a bit comical to the more snarky eyeball such as mine.
Anyway, missing Nintendo World Store bag or not, at least this particular photo op is for a game that's well worth wearing a funny red hat and standing in line for. Hundreds of Scribblenauts fans also enjoyed an autograph signing with Jeremiah Slaczka, the game's creative director, game demos, exclusive premium item giveaways (including Maxwell’s “rooster hat,” of course) and other festivities during the event.
Julie Cheng, of Brooklyn, is the first to purchase the highly-anticipated Scribblenauts at a pre-launch event at Nintendo World store, Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, in New York.

Maxwell Mania! Hundreds of early-bird fans wear rooster hats inspired by the character Maxwell as they wait to be the first to purchase the new video game Scribblenauts at a pre-launch event at Nintendo World store on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009.

Scribblenauts, an innovative, award-winning, new action-puzzle game by 5th Cell, will be available exclusively for Nintendo DS on Tuesday, Sept. 15 from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment at a retailer near you. A copy of the game should hit me in the head sometime this week - back with a review then.
