Disney Interactive Announces Epic Mickey, TRON: Evolution Collector's Editions

With two of the most anticipated (and definitely two of my most anticipated) game releases this year, Disney Interactive Studios is definitely putting Disney Epic Mickey and TRON: Evolution fans on notice that they're in for some really cool collector's editions. There's also a cool TRON iPhone/iPod Touch app from Disney Mobile that's free and has a few fun features (that updated version of Tanks is pretty darn cool, by the way.

WITH COLLECTOR'S EDITION OF DISNEY EPIC MICKEY

Special Edition Video Game Includes Collectible Disney Epic Mickey Figurine, Wii Console Skins and Remote Faceplate, and Bonus Content

BURBANK, Calif. - (August 30, 2010) - Disney Interactive Studios today announced that the internationally acclaimed upcoming video game Disney Epic Mickey will also be released as a Collectors' Edition in limited quantities.

Available for pre-order beginning today in North America and alongside the standard edition at retail this holiday, the Collectors' Edition of Disney Epic Mickey will include the full version of the game, a five inch collectible Disney Epic Mickey figurine, Wii console skins and remote faceplate, and a bonus DVD with behind-the-scenes video and more. With its innovative style of gameplay using paint and thinner to dynamically change the game world, Disney Epic Mickey is one of the most anticipated titles of 2010.

"We're thrilled to roll out this Collectors' Edition featuring so many unique items including the collectible Disney Epic Mickey figurine and content that will surprise and delight gamers and Disney fans alike," said Graham Hopper, executive vice president and general manager, Disney Interactive Studios. Disney Epic Mickey will be available this holiday season exclusively for Wii. The Disney Epic Mickey Collectors' Edition will retail at an MSRP of $69.99 and the standard edition will retail at an MSRP of $49.99.

DISNEY INTERACTIVE STUDIOS ANNOUNCES TRON: EVOLUTION COLLECTOR’S EDITION WITH ICONIC LIGHT CYCLE COLLECTIBLE TO BE AVAILABLE AT RETAIL

BURBANK, Calif. — (August 30, 2010) – Disney Interactive Studios today announced a collector’s edition of TRON: Evolution will be available at retail. The TRON: Evolution collector’s edition package will include an exclusive TRON light cycle collectible based on the in-game model from TRON: Evolution. The light cycle model is being created by renowned collectibles manufacturer Sideshow Collectibles. Available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, the collector’s edition will be packaged in a special protective casing with a drawer for the game.

The company also announced December 7 as the North American release date for all its TRON: Evolution video games on popular platforms. TRON: Evolution games will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 system, Wii, Windows PC, Nintendo DS and PSP. The Wii game’s title is TRON: Evolution – Battle Grids.

The TRON: Evolution collector’s edition will only be available in limited quantities and will have a suggested retail price of $129.99 in North America. The collector’s edition will be available on December 7 with the rest of the TRON: Evolution video game portfolio before the “TRON: Legacy” film hits U.S. theaters on December 17 in Disney Digital 3D™ and IMAX 3D.
